From college days and well into their future… Maybe a crush, and maybe more.
It was a “full” wedding – you know the kind of wedding where you feel your heart bursting with joy, love, happiness and a little bit of everything thrown together. Theirs was the kind of story that makes you want to hear more and experience yourself. It was the kind of love everyone dreams of and only a few gets to taste it.
They’ve been friends. It took time but who can tell – some people are meant to be together and the force are with them 😉
It’s beautiful, serene, and romantic – that’s what an El Nido shoot would always be for us. The stories are never the same and the smiles are all genuine.
It was the moodiest weather we had ever encountered at that dreamy island. We need to stop shooting several times during the day to avoid getting soak but there were still short moments to enjoy and laugh it off. The rocks were slippery and the boat transfers were bumpy – going back to the mainland proved the most difficult, we felt like we were in the movie “life of Pi”. It was truly an experience we will never forget.
Truly, the times are changing. The bride wore a non traditional dress, the groom had a dreamcatcher for a necklace and the weather is too moody for this bohemian inspired wedding but our rebel bride went through it with grace, beauty and understanding. It was a beach wedding – and yet the weather was moody and it kept raining the whole day.
We were wet, and it was already dark when the ceremony started. In my mind I was wondering if the couple ask for the drain as they reside in Dubai where rain is very scarce. Despite its shortcomings – it was the kind of wedding one can dream of. The friends and families stayed and the reception follows with much love and happenings.
Maybe, my words are not enough to describe that day – but hopefully these photos will tell their story and the love they shared during that day.
To you – Marj, the rebel bride ~ and Alex the cool groom, thank you for making us a part of your special memory. That day is never the same for us!
Again, this El Nido Elopement didn’t disappoint. It was simple, intimate and romantic.
The couple, Bianca and Dave were both musically gifted. They are from Australia and before they came to Palawan, I got this soft beautiful haunting song that I sometimes played along with 2000++ songs I have accumulated over the years from friends and people on the wedding industry. It turned out to be Bianca’s voice. Simply inspiring…
When words fail me, I hope these images will tell about the love story this amazing couple had shared with us on this tiny island of Matinloc in El Nido, Palawan.
